Purpose of the Role
The Senior Project Delivery Manager will schedule, manage and oversee engineering projects for quality of work, timeliness and completion within budget across all sectors we serve, especially the new nuclear energy sector. This role is pivotal in developing Moorside's capability to deliver to nuclear-grade requirements, planning and designing materials and equipment specifications. It is a strategic appointment, supporting Moorside's UK nuclear market entry in the short term, and building international engagement, including, but not limited to, China and EU markets in the long term.
Key Responsibilities
Draw up budgets and timescales for new engineering projects based on clients' requirements across all sectors we serve, especially the new nuclear energy sectors
Brief project team, contractors and suppliers on project specifications and quality requirements
Plan work schedules for engineering projects based on prior discussion with client and contractors
Regularly inspect and monitor progress and quality of work, ensuring legal and regulatory requirements are met
Identify defects in work and propose corrections in line with nuclear-grade quality standards
Record, monitor and report progress to clients and senior management
Ensure that equipment, operation and maintenance comply with design specifications and safety standards
Assemble information for invoicing at the end of projects and manage contract deliverables
Support qualification of Moorside as a supplier for UK nuclear programs
Liaise with Chinese and EU stakeholders to prepare for long-term international market expansion
Plan, design and specify materials and equipment for the growing new nuclear energy sector projects
Create necessary technical drawings and documentation for project execution
Required Qualifications and Experience
Accredited university degree in Engineering (Nuclear, Mechanical, Power Engineering, or related discipline)
Evidence of appropriate training and experience in engineering project management
Minimum 10 years' experience in regulated project delivery within nuclear, aerospace, and oil and gas sectors
Proven project leadership in large-scale engineering programs
Certified PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent project management qualification
Experience in cross-border technical collaboration and commercial negotiation
Strong stakeholder engagement, reporting, and client-facing presentation skills
Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken)
Desirable Skills
Understanding of ASME, RCC-M, and Chinese nuclear component standards
Background in project controls or contract management in engineering delivery
Ability to operate in cross-cultural teams and multinational supply chains
