Job Description

We are really excited to invite compassionate, dedicated applicants for a 0.6 WTE post for an 8a Senior Psychological Therapist/Clinical Psychologist post in our well established and fully recruited children and young people's community eating disorder service covering Bradford, Airedale Wharfedale and Craven.



The Access and Waiting Times Commissioning Guide 2015 stimulated the development of our multidisciplinary team involving psychiatry, psychology, family therapy, nursing, dietetics and support workers to keep the young person and family at the heart of all we do. We work closely with the paediatric teams at our local Acute Trusts when young people require short refeeding admissions and our recovery rates are extremely high. More recently we have developed a successful ARFID approach .

Provide specialist evidence based psychological assessment, formulation & therapy, making autonomous clinical decisions about own professional practice. Provide clinical leadership, supervision, consultation and advice on psychological therapies. Provide clinical consultation and advice to healthcare professionals across all localities. Support adherence to relevant NICE guidance and clinical governance arrangements. To ensure the clinical effectiveness of own practice and of service functioning by undertaking research and development activities relevant to the service area. Work with the Team/Clinical Manager on service development, leading research and development activities.

Job Overview Continued-



We work closely together as an MDT, meeting on MS TEAMS/in person twice daily for safety huddles alongside weekly team meetings and formulation meetings and monthly team development slots, caseload management and clinical supervision.
