Job Description


Senior Quality Inspector required to join a medical device manufacturer based near Didcot. As a Senior Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that products meet the highest quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Senior Quality Inspector responsibilities include:

  • Perform inspections and tests on incoming materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Develop and implement inspection procedures and protocols to ensure consistent and accurate quality evaluations.
  • Train and mentor junior quality inspectors, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify and report non-conformities, defects, and quality trends, and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis investigations to determine the underlying causes of quality issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Monitor and maintain quality documentation and records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging quality trends and recommend process improvements to enhance overall product quality.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary support and documentation.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality consciousness throughout the organization.
Experience required:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field. Relevant certifications will be a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing or production environment, with a focus on precision engineering or similar industries.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control principles, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and standards such as ISO 9001.
  • Experience with inspection tools, equipment, and measurement techniques.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
