Manage patient appointments, registrations, and general enquiries efficiently and accurately. Handle complex or sensitive patient queries and resolve issues where possible. Support patient confidentiality and data protection in all interactions. Provide guidance and support to junior reception staff.
Assist with training and induction of new team members. Help maintain a positive, professional atmosphere within the reception team. Act as a liaison between reception, clinical staff, and management. Assist in the smooth flow of information and patient interactions.
Escalate issues to the Reception Team Leader or Practice Manager as needed. Support the reception team with administrative duties, including managing correspondence and documentation. Help maintain up-to-date patient records and appointment systems. Contribute to audits and service improvement initiatives.
Reports to the Practice Manager. Works closely with GPs, nurses, healthcare assistants, and administrative colleagues.
