Job Description

inspiratia is seeking a Senior Reporter to join our growing news team.

inspiratia is one of the leading voices in the energy transition space with a reputation for producing exclusive news and analysis.

We report on a range of sectors including offshore and onshore wind, solar, battery storage, hydrogen, CCS, EVs and even oil & gas. The coverage centers around financing aspects - both primary and secondary - and therefore, prior knowledge of financial reporting would be advantageous but not essential.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in B2B journalism.

Responsibilities:

Build and maintain relations with key industry players (we prioritise off diary news) Research and verify leads gathered either by yourself or the wider team Produce 3-4 well researched and referenced news stories per day Pitch in for up to 2 long form pieces per month Interview contacts for a written piece and/or podcast episode Work with our data team to ensure the highest standards of accuracy are being maintained

Requirements:

Self-starter with the ability to work independently Degree-level or equivalent qualification in Journalism, finance, economics, or environmental science 2-3 years of prior experience in a similar role Ability to work towards tight deadlines when required Demonstrable experience in breaking news stories Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Desirable:

Demonstrable interest in sustainability, renewable technology, energy infrastructure, or project finance Ability to converse in German, French, Spanish or Swedish Experience with editing software such as Photoshop and Audacity Experience in a fast-paced media or publishing environment, with familiarity with content management systems and skills in copywriting or audio editing Prior knowledge of financial reporting Prior experience in B2B journalism

Package:
