Job Description

Our Residential Property Department is looking for a qualified Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer to join the team on a permanent, full time basis.



Butcher & Barlow is one of the most respected law firms in the North West and our Residential Property Team is a key part of the business, with the service being provided across all of our locations.



As a member of the team you will be working with experienced and professionally recognised Partners to continue to grow and promote the Residential Property offering

Who we are looking for





Our ideal candidate will have 3-5 years PQE, with a proven track record, be self-motivated and be capable of working independently on a day to day basis. You will however be working within a wider team structure and will therefore benefit from remote support and supervision.


What we expect of you




The ability to manage your own caseload to include sales, purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, new builds and leaseholds (flats and shared ownerships). Be comfortable maintaining and strengthening existing client and professional relationships and helping build new. Have competent IT skills including the use of a case management system and be willing to learn new technology. Thorough knowledge of CQS and all compliance issues. An understanding of client care. An excellent communicator, both face to face and over the telephone. Ability to draft and prepare clear and concise documents. Attention to detail. Able to work accurately under pressure. Good time and file management skills and be able to prioritise tasks.
