Senior Residential Support Worker - Children's Residential Care

Location: Headington, Oxford (OX3)

Salary: 27,000 - 30,000 per year + 3,000 for sleep-ins per annum

Are you an experienced Support Worker ready to step into a Senior role?

We are hiring Senior Residential Support Workers to join a 4-bed children's home in Oxford. You will take on additional responsibilities, helping lead shifts and supporting colleagues while continuing to provide a safe, structured and nurturing environment for children and young people.

About the Role

You'll act as a role model and shift lead, supporting the team to deliver high-quality care. Alongside daily responsibilities with children, you'll mentor staff, contribute to care planning and ensure safeguarding standards are maintained. Your leadership will help create a consistent and therapeutic environment for young people.

Working Pattern

Rolling rota with long shifts and built-in rest days Includes weekends and sleep-ins (50 per sleep) Predictable, consistent rota designed to balance work and recovery

Requirements

Previous experience in a children's residential setting Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards) Ability to lead shifts and mentor colleagues Flexibility to work long shifts, weekends and sleep-ins Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

Desirable:

Full UK driving licence, relevant social care/childcare qualification, DBS Update Service.
