Job Description

The Residential Team Leader plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of a residential care setting, ensuring that the needs of children are met through effective care plans and supportive environments. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to lead a team in providing high-quality childcare. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess a solid understanding of IT systems to manage documentation and reporting efficiently.

Who Are We Looking For?



We're seeking a unique individual who brings experience and passion to the role. We need someone with proven experience in residential childcare. Your passion for making a positive impact on young lives should shine!

You must have previous and relevant experience of working with young people and families or have worked in a residential setting and have extensive experience of working with young people experiencing crisis. A strong background in therapeutic parenting, behaviour support and de-escalation techniques is also essential. A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and full driving license is essential.

We need someone who has an exceptional ability to lead by example, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to inspire and motivate teams. You will have the ability to adapt to changing environments and overcome challenges with a positive attitude.

Duties



Lead and supervise a team of caregivers, ensuring high standards of care are maintained. Develop, implement, and review individual care plans for each child, adapting as necessary to meet their evolving needs. Communicate effectively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support. Drive initiatives that promote the wellbeing and development of children in care. Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of team performance, providing constructive feedback. Organise team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies for improvement. Maintain accurate records related to care plans and daily activities.
