Role Summary



The Senior Service Delivery Manager - RRSL

is the single, senior interface between ATS and RR Submarines Limited for all service and programme delivery activities.

The role acts as the primary escalation point for delivery performance, risks, and issues, providing RRSL with a clear and accountable route into ATS.



The role is accountable for

end-to-end

delivery assurance across ATS support services and programmes delivered to RRSL, ensuring robust governance, performance transparency, and proactive management of delivery risks.

Operating with delegated

authority from the ATS UK IIT Value Stream Manager and Global Key Account Manager, the role maintains oversight of current demand, active projects, and delivery pipeline, holding ATS delivery teams accountable for meeting agreed commitments, service levels, and customer expectations.

The role does not directly deliver projects or services

Key Responsibilities



Client Interface & Escalation

Act as the single, senior

point of contact

and primary escalation point between ATS and RR Submarines Limited for all service and programme delivery matters. Provide clear, accurate, and timely

communication

to RRSL on delivery status, risks, and mitigation actions.

Represent RRSL priorities

, expectations, and feedback back into ATS delivery teams.

Governance & Assurance

Provide

delivery assurance

across ATS support services and programmes delivered to RRSL. Ensure agreed governance frameworks and delivery controls are consistently applied. Monitor delivery performance against agreed commitments, service levels, and contractual expectations.

Identify

delivery

risks

,

trends

, and systemic issues, escalating appropriately within ATS and to RRSL. Support delivery recovery activities, ensuring corrective actions are defined, owned, and tracked.

Demand, Pipeline & Portfolio Oversight

Maintain oversight of current demand, active projects, and support services delivered to RRSL. Ensure visibility of delivery pipeline and emerging demand to support

planning

and

prioritisation

. Provide

insight to support

expectation management and informed decision-making.

Internal Coordination & Accountability

Operate with delegated authority from the ATS UK Value Stream Manager across project, engineering, architecture, and support functions. Hold ATS delivery teams accountable for meeting agreed delivery commitments for RRSL. Promote effective cross-functional

collaboration

and resolve delivery challenges.

Commercial & Risk Awareness

Operate with strong

commercial

awareness

, ensuring delivery aligns with contractual and operational expectations. Support identification and management of delivery-related commercial risks. Contribute to continuous improvement of service delivery, governance, and client engagement practices.

Essential Skills and Experience



Demonstrated

senior-level

experience in service delivery or delivery assurance. Proven experience acting as a

senior client interface

and

escalation point

. Experience overseeing

multiple projects

and/or

support services

. Strong ability to

influence

and hold teams

accountable

without direct line management. Solid understanding of

delivery governance

and

escalation frameworks

. Experience managing

delivery risks

, issues, and dependencies. Strong

commercial awareness

within contractual and operational constraints. Confident communicator with

senior stakeholder engagement

experience.

Desirable Skills and Experience



Experience working in regulated or

safety-critical environments

(e.g. defence, nuclear, aerospace). Familiarity with

support service

and managed service models. Experience operating in matrix organisations with dotted-line authority.

Knowledge of IT service

management frameworks (e.g. ITIL). Experience supporting a single strategic client or account.
