To support social workers in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and young people by delivering high-quality support services, carrying out casework, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Hold responsibility for an allocated caseload as assigned by the Team Manager or Social Worker.
Collect, record, and analyze relevant information using case management systems to support assessments and interventions.
Provide practical day-to-day support to children and families as directed.
Ensure the safety and well-being of children through accurate assessments and actions aligned with statutory guidelines.
Liaise with multi-agency partners to achieve positive outcomes for children and ensure services are joined up.
Maintain accurate and timely case recording, reports, and communication in line with statutory and organizational standards.
Participate in team meetings, reviews, and contribute to service improvement.
Take personal responsibility for continuous professional development and reflective practice.
Essential Requirements
Experience working with children and/or families in a care setting.
Ability to liaise with agencies to access support for children and families.
Basic knowledge of social work practices and relevant legislation.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to build effective relationships.
Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
Respect for diversity and commitment to equality.
Ability to work flexibly within a team and in partnership with other professionals.
Special Conditions
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act; a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required.
