Duties

Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and staff. Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency. Help develop and implement new menu items, maintaining creativity and innovation. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Train and mentor kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and effective communication. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth service during busy periods. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. In-depth knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Passion for cooking and creating high-quality dishes. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Pay: 13.00-17.00 per hour
