Senior Sous Chef
Job Description
Whitehall Garden Centre is a family run and award winning business.
We are looking for a Senior Sous Chef to help our Head Chef and catering team in our Herb Garden restaurant. This is a fabulous opportunity for any experienced Senior Sous chef or ambitious sous offering straight shifts, no evenings.
To work 4 days during the week plus alternate weekends, with the added benefit of having Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Easter Sunday off.
As a Senior Sous Chef you will:
Assist in overseeing all aspects of the kitchen
Assist in managing and motivating a professional brigade
Train junior members of staff
Possess excellent communication skills and lead by example
Be a creative and talented chef who can support and help inspire the team, ensuring all food preparation is completed on time and service runs efficiently.
Help in stock management, assist in menu creation and have experience in costings
Ensure the highest possible standard of hygiene is practiced and maintained to meet Health & Safety regulations and food preparation guidelines
