The Old Plough in Cobham are looking for a Senior Sous Chef with a real passion for quality fresh food to join us. You will be able to demonstrate good people management skills and have previous experience working in a similar busy, fresh food, high volume environment.
Our chefs are real foodies who love cooking and being part of a busy service. They are passionate about working with seasonal, fresh produce, creating new dishes and supporting the head chef. This is a hands-on Senior Sous Chef role and you will work across all areas of the kitchen, ensuring high standards are met and assisting the head chef and other sous chefs to run the kitchen smoothly. You will be working in a modern well-equipped kitchen within a brigade of 12 chefs and 3 kitchen porters. You will be involved in a variety of duties including: Fresh food preparation; ordering and stock control; adhering to food safety and cleaning standards and helping to train and develop junior chefs.
