As Senior Sous Chef, you will be an integral part of our culinary leadership team, working closely with our Head Chef to manage and elevate all kitchen operations. Responsibilities:
Deputise for the Head Chef, overseeing daily kitchen management, food quality, and service
Ensure consistent high standards of food preparation, cooking, and presentation
Maintain impeccable kitchen cleanliness and strict adherence to food safety regulations
Assist with inventory, ordering, and cost control to minimise waste and meet budgets
Motivate, train, and manage junior chefs, fostering a positive and productive environment
Liaise effectively with front-of-house and other hotel teams for seamless service
What you'll need:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie, ideally within a high-volume hotel or luxury restaurant setting, with experience in banqueting and events
Hold professional cookery qualifications
Demonstrable expertise in menu development, costing, and effective stock control
Exceptional culinary skills with a keen eye for detail
Strong leadership capabilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and manage the kitchen team
Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and a positive attitude
