We are seeking a talented and experienced senior sous chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. As the senior sous chef, you will oversee all aspects of food production, ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation while adhering to food safety regulations. The right candidate will work on developing dishes and menu design with the executive chef. High cover rosette or michelin level required. Duties
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality in all dishes served.
Develop and implement creative menus that reflect current culinary trends while considering guest preferences.
Maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation, ensuring all dishes are served at optimal quality.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene standards within the kitchen.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and safety practices.
Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor inventory levels and manage food costs effectively to maximise profitability.
Skills
Proven supervising experience in a high-volume kitchen environment.
Extensive knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices.
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of individuals.
Proficient in food preparation methods with a keen eye for detail in cooking presentation.
Solid culinary experience with a passion for creating innovative dishes.
Background in hospitality with an understanding of customer service excellence.
Exceptional leadership qualities, capable of making decisions under pressure while maintaining composure.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, showcasing versatility across various cuisines.
