Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards. Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking. Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Help manage kitchen schedules and assist in staff management to ensure efficient operation. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.

Skills

Proficient in food preparation techniques and kitchen operations. Strong knowledge of food production processes and culinary techniques. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management. Excellent understanding of food safety standards and practices. Ability to supervise staff effectively while promoting teamwork. Creative approach to cooking with an eye for presentation. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with team members effectively.
