Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our team. As a key member of the kitchen, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining exceptional standards of food safety and hygiene. This role is perfect for someone with strong leadership skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding hospitality.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Assist in the planning and execution of menus, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance. Oversee food production processes, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food preparation, and safety practices. Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new recipes and improve existing offerings. Ensure that all dishes are served promptly and meet presentation standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant environment, with a focus on food production and preparation. Previous supervisory or team management experience is essential. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality. Excellent cooking skills with a passion for creating high-quality dishes. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills.
