Duties
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output.
Maintain food safety standards by ensuring proper handling, storage, and preparation of all ingredients.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health regulations.
Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, equipment use, and safety protocols.
Participate in the cooking process during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of meals.
Requirements
Proven experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment as a cook or chef.
Strong knowledge of food production techniques and culinary skills.
Experience in team management and supervising kitchen staff is highly desirable.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
