Built in 1816 located overlooking the Marine Gardens in front of Crosby beach with the Welsh hills in the distance. The Royal Hotel is a small family run hotel in the busy suburb of Waterloo, 5 miles north of Liverpool. Our kitchen is a professional but friendly enviroment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
- Help create new menu items and specials
- Ensure proper food preparation and handling techniques are followed
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise kitchen staff
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Skills:
- Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Ability to work well in a team and provide leadership when necessary
- Knowledge of kitchen operations and equipment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff, management, and customers
- Passion for the hospitality industry and delivering exceptional service
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Sous Chef or in a similar role preferred
- Culinary degree or certification is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
