The Opportunity
We're hiring a Senior Sponsorship Sales Executive to drive revenue across our new flagship health focussed event. You'll specific vendor verticals, run full cycle sponsorship and exhibition sales, and close complex deals with senior stakeholders. You'll also have the potential to line manage-- Junior Sponsorship Sales Executives (dependent on experience and subject to targets and KPIs hit in first year) shaping best practice across prospecting, discovery, proposals and negotiation.
What you'll do
Own a book of business:
Prioritise named accounts by vertical; build multithreaded relationships across marketing, sales and leadership.
Generate & progress pipeline:
Run targeted multichannel outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn) to secure senior meetings and create qualified opportunities.
Discovery & solutioning:
Lead high quality discovery to uncover goals, timing, success metrics and budget; align packages (Good/Better/Best) to outcomes.
Proposals & negotiation:
Produce tailored proposals; handle commercials, terms and procurement to close.
Forecasting & hygiene:
Maintain accurate stages, next step dates and amounts in CRM; deliver reliable weekly forecasts.
Cross functional collaboration:
Work with Production, Marketing, Delegate Sales and Operations to match sponsors to audience, content and onsite activations.
Onsite & renewal:
Represent Alpha at events, ensure deliverables are met, and drive renewals/upsells post show.
4-8 deals closed per month, Average deal size growth QoQ
Funnel quality:
?90% opps with a future meeting booked, Proposal turnaround ?48h, Multithreading: ?3 stakeholders/opp.
Pipeline/forecast:
Coverage ?3-4x next quarter target, Forecast accuracy 8% at T30, Sales cycle trending down, Onsite deliverables completed 100%.
Customer outcomes:
Renewal/upgrade rate ?80% of owned accounts
What you'll bring
3-4+ years' B2B sales (events, media, SaaS or similar) with consistent quota attainment and closing experience.
Strong seniorlevel discovery, value articulation and negotiation skills; comfortable with procurement/legal.
Impeccable commercial mindset with exceptional hunter mentality to carve out new relationships for a founding event.
Proven ability to run structured deals: clear next steps, MAPs (mutual action plans), and clean CRM.
Confident communicator (written and verbal) with Csuite/VP stakeholders.
Leadership potential: experience mentoring teammates; appetite to manage a junior rep.
Tools: LinkedIn Sales Navigator, sequencing/dialer, call recording, proposal/contract platforms; Salesforce/HubSpot proficiency.
Domain plus: experience in healthcare or life sciences events is a bonus.
