Our Sheffield Foyer provides accommodation, training and support to help young people who have been affected by homelessness to live independently and find a pathway into employment.
We have a new full-time, permanent opportunity for a Senior Support Officer to lead, manage and coordinate the work of staff and volunteers at The Foyer, in Sheffield.
Key responsibilities:
Encourage and support the culture of work, training and education within The Foyer
Manage the development and delivery of the Move On Training Programme
Oversee and manage the Dispersed Housing Accommodation project
Manage the team within the Foyer.
Provide an out-of-hours on-call service as part of the Management Team.
Manage the Social Work Student Placement Programme and Volunteer Programme.
Promote customers' involvement in shaping and monitoring services, to enable real choice and control over their service.
Provide and monitor high-quality, responsive and person-centred services that meet the physical, mental and emotional needs of customers and ensure people have choice and control over their own lives.

You'll also be able to demonstrate:
A sensitive and supportive approach to vulnerable people, maintaining their dignity and self-respect at all times.
Management/supervisory experience.
Experience of working in a housing/supported housing environment.
Experience of working with young people.
Knowledge of welfare benefits.
Knowledge of organisations providing services to young people.
