Job Description

We have vacancies for dedicated Senior support staff to join our team in a Supported Living Service for people with Learning Disabilities in the Belfast area.


The service will be supporting our service users to live a full and valued life.


Job type - Full time or Part time, permanent


Hours - Day/Night duty


Salary - 13.50 - 14.50 (based on Experience)

About The Role




Key responsibilities:

As a Senior Support Worker, you will work with our resident to help them live a full and valued life. Assist in the safe administration of medication after full training. Liaise with Team Leader around any issues with safe administration of medication. Support the Team Leader to provide the highest quality, person-centred care. Assist residents with daily living activities and personal care whilst promoting independence, respect and dignity. Support resident's physical and emotional wellbeing. Promote best practice in relation to health & safety, confidentiality and security. Care will be carried out under the supervision / direction of a Team Leader and Home Manager.

Essential Criteria:


Candidates must have at least 2 years previous Care Assistant experience and have achieved a minimum of NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care. Additionally, you must have a clear record with regards to professional conduct, performance, and attendance.


Ideal Candidate:

Caring and friendly nature to help create a homely environment for our resident. Excellent communication and people skills, particularly with people with Learning Disabilities. Experience in a care background is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
