We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our dedicated team in the Truro area. This rewarding role involves working across two individual support services both making a difference in their lives. You will be supporting:
1. A lady with epilepsy resulting from post-traumatic brain injury, who lives independently in her own home with her two children. Your role will involve providing practical and emotional support, assisting with daily routines, promoting independence, and ensuring her safety and wellbeing. You'll also manage her health needs and maintain a supportive and structured environment for her and her family.
2. A young lady who leads an active and busy lifestyle currently living at home with her mum and dad. She enjoys getting out into the community, taking part in a variety of activities. The goal is for her to move into her own home within the next year, and you will play a key role in supporting her to work towards this. You'll assist the team manager with planning and booking activities for her, as well as offering encouragement and support to help her make the most of every day.
As a senior support worker you will also provide leadership and guidance to the team, oversee daily operations, ensure high quality record keeping, liaise with families and professionals, and uphold the highest standard of person centred care.

Essential:

Minimum of two years' experience in care
Previous experience within the health and social care sector
NVQ/Diploma Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to obtain one
Care Certificate
Epilepsy Experience
