Senior Support Worker
to join our passionate team in Nuneaton.
The Role:
As a
Senior Support Worker
, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day running of the home, supporting both the young people and the wider staff team. You will act as a positive role model and provide leadership and guidance to junior staff, ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and support to children and young people in line with their individual care plans
Lead shifts and supervise a team of support workers
Assist the Registered Manager in ensuring regulatory compliance (Ofsted standards)
Support the development and implementation of therapeutic and behaviour management strategies
Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning and reviews
Promote a safe, supportive, and homely environment
Actively participate in team meetings, training, and development opportunities
What We're Looking For:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a residential childcare setting
NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - essential
Strong leadership and communication skills
A compassionate, resilient, and proactive approach
Sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and sleep-ins
A full UK driving licence - desirable
