Senior Support Worker
to join our team in
Chippenham, Wiltshire
.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a three-bed residential home specializing in caring for young people with
learning difficulties
and
emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)

Your Benefits & Rewards
Competitive Salary:
Earn up to 35,000 per year, depending on experience.
Paid Sleep-in Shifts:
63 per night (one per week, on average, contributes to the 35k salary).
Annual Leave:
28 days plus an additional 3 paid wellness shifts.
Consistent Shift Pattern:
Two shifts per week (07:30 - 21:30), totaling 42 hours, with flexibility available.
Bonuses:
Earn a 100 bonus for a 'Good' OFSTED rating and a 250 bonus for 'Outstanding'.
Referral Scheme:
A 350 bonus for successful referrals.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a
Senior Support Worker
, you will be a vital part of the leadership team, acting as a
positive role model
and mentoring other
Support Workers
. This role is challenging but immensely rewarding, as you'll have a life-changing impact on the young people in your care, helping them build secure attachments and fulfill their potential.
Your main duties will include:
Leading a team of
Support Workers
and assisting the management team.
Ensuring the safety and safeguarding of all young people and staff.
Upholding and exceeding standards set by the Children's Home Regulations 2015.
Building empathetic, engaging relationships with young people, families, and professionals.
Participating in fun and innovative activities within the home and local community.
Managing practical daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
Maintaining accurate and reflective paperwork to evidence progress.
Promoting and implementing our attachment-based, trauma-informed policies.
What We're Looking For
To be a great fit for this role, you should have:
A minimum of
one year of experience
in a
Residential Children's Social Care
setting, ideally as a
support worker
.
A strong understanding of
Trauma-Informed Care
and a therapeutic background.
A
Level 3 NVQ diploma in Residential Childcare
or a willingness to work towards it.
A
full UK Driving License
.
The ability to provide nurturing, non-consequential care while setting appropriate boundaries.
Strong leadership, communication, and a genuine passion for working with children with
EBD
and
learning difficulties
.
