Orchard Vale Trust is a Registered Charity founded over 35 years ago to support adults with learning difficulties providing Residential, Day and Community Services.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and well organised person to join the management team at East Court.

The successful candidate will need good communication skills and the ability to form trusting relationships with our residents, their families and staff.

You will also have an excellent level of written, verbal and numerical skills and have a good working knowledge of care practice. Ideally you will have some prior supervisory experience but this is not essential; you will have at least 2 years' experience of working with people with learning disabilities and an NVQ Level 2/3 (or equivalent) or be working towards.

Alternate weekend work and sleepover duties will be required.

Senior Support Workers are responsible for carrying out all duties within their sphere of responsibility as delegated or supervised by the Home Manager or the Deputy Manager to support residents in all aspects of their daily lives, at home and in the community and to support and coach staff whilst at work.

We ask that all applicants must:

Hold a Full UK Driving Licence. Be willing to have an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, which will include a check against the Barred adult list and references.

Pay: 13.73-15.00 per hour
