Nest of Hope
is looking for a creative, positive and dedicated individual to join our Ofsted-regulated Residential Care Home for young people. This is a great opportunity to take the next step in your career while making a meaningful impact on the lives of young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This role is ideal for someone who wants to strengthen their leadership skills within residential childcare. You will support young people who may have experienced trauma, neglect or abuse, helping them feel safe, cared for and supported so they can grow and thrive. Your day-to-day work will include everyday tasks like accompanying them to education, preparing meals, keeping the home clean and tidy, encouraging play and home-based activities, and supporting them to take part in wider activities that build their social, emotional, physical, creative and spiritual wellbeing.
Working with young people can be incredibly rewarding -- but it can also bring challenges. At
Nest of Hope
, we believe in standing by our young people and our team through both the highs and the lows. We need someone resilient, patient and determined to help our young people manage their emotions and behaviours so they feel supported every step of the way.
You will need at least two years' experience working with young people with emotional and behavioural needs in a residential setting. A strong understanding of Ofsted requirements, clear written and verbal communication, and proven leadership skills are essential.
A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is required. An Enhanced DBS check will also be necessary.
