We are a passionate and dedicated care provider, offering a safe and supportive environment for children in our residential care home in Willenhall. Our mission is to empower young people, helping them achieve their full potential while receiving the highest standards of care and support. We are now seeking a Senior Support Worker to join our dynamic team and help us continue providing exceptional care to vulnerable children.

Role Overview:


As a Senior Support Worker, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of Support Workers in providing high-quality care to children within a residential setting. You will ensure the safety, well-being, and personal development of the young people in your care, acting as a role model and mentor to the team. You will also play a key role in developing and implementing care plans, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring that the residential setting is maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead and supervise a team of Support Workers, offering guidance and support where necessary. Ensure the physical, emotional, and social well-being of the children in your care. Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans, including risk assessments and behavioural management strategies. Promote positive behaviour and assist children with personal development, education, and daily routines. Provide high standards of care, safeguarding, and support in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practice. Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children. Collaborate with social workers, healthcare professionals, and other agencies to ensure children receive the necessary support. Maintain accurate records and complete reports as required.

Essential Requirements:



Proven experience in a similar role within a children's residential care setting. NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent) is essential. Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures. Experience of leading or supervising a team in a residential setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to improving the lives of young people. Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts when necessary.

Desirable Qualifications:



NVQ Level 4 or 5 in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People) is an advantage. First Aid and Medication Administration training.
