24/7 Supported Living Service Mixed Support & Admin Role
Service Based (Not Office-Based) Unique Single-Service Leadership Role
Are you an experienced support worker ready to take the next step in your career? Do you want a meaningful role where you can make a real difference every day? This is not your typical senior support worker position--this is your chance to be part of something truly special.
About the Role
We're looking for a compassionate and motivated
Senior Support Worker
to join our dedicated team in
Barrhead
, working solely within a 24-hour service focusing on the support of one man. This service is part of
Renfrewshire Supported Living Initiative (RSLI)
and is fully funded to provide tailored, person-centred care.
You'll work
39 hours per week
in a balanced role: around
50% providing direct support
(including sleepovers) and
50% carrying out administrative and leadership duties
. Unlike many senior roles, your focus won't be spread across multiple services--
you'll be fully dedicated to this one individual and his established team
, offering real continuity, connection, and purpose.
About the Man We Support
The man you'll support is 52 and full of personality--he loves everything to do with
Christmas
, is a huge fan of
Marvel movies
, listens to
music
every day, and never misses a chance to enjoy some good old
WWF wrestling
. He has a
learning disability
and requires
full support with all aspects of daily living
, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
He lives in his own home in
Barrhead
, and is supported 24/7 by a stable, experienced team. People find it easy to build a relationship with him--he's at the heart of everything we do, and this role is a unique opportunity to be a consistent part of his life.
Why This Role is Unique
This isn't a service-wide role--it's fully focused on one home, one person, and one team. You'll be
based primarily at the service
, supporting the team directly from within, not from a separate office (though our
Abbeymill
base is always available when needed). Your leadership will be visible, hands-on, and truly impactful.
You'll oversee:
Day-to-day running of the service
Staff rotas and supervision
Administrative duties and regulatory compliance
Mentorship, coaching, and team development
High-quality, person-centred care delivery
What We're Looking For
SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
PDA in Supervision or Management (or willingness to work towards it)
Previous experience in a senior or leadership role in social care
A genuine passion for improving lives and building relationships
What You'll Get in Return
At Quarriers, we value our staff and offer a fantastic benefits package, including:
29 days annual leave + 4 public holidays (rising to 34 + 4 after 5 years)
Family-friendly policies
Free and confidential Employee Assistance Programme
Health Cash Plan (HSF) & free access to physiotherapy and occupational health services
Access to Concerts for Carers
Pension scheme
Ongoing professional development and support
Successful applicants will be required to register with the SSSC within three months of their start date.
