About the Role
We are seeking a passionate
Senior Support Worker
to join our team in Shirley! You will play a pivotal role in
providing leadership and guidance to a small team of support staff
, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. This role is perfect for someone with compassion, empathy, and strong team-building skills, who wants to make a real difference every day.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and support the staff team, offering guidance and development opportunities
Assist management with the day-to-day running of the home, including designated administrative tasks
Conduct 1:1 meetings with staff and support new team members through induction and probation
Participate in assessing and planning care to meet individual service users' needs
Attend meetings with professionals and family members as required
Provide hands-on, high-quality support and companionship to service users
Ensure smooth running of the home in the absence of the Registered Manager
What We're Looking For
Strong leader with excellent communication skills
Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, or challenging behaviours
Applicants must hold a
Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship, Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care, or equivalent
, with a willingness to work towards the Leader in Adult Care Apprenticeship
