We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in a care home setting, particularly focusing on senior care. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and experience in supervising others. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for implementing care plans and ensuring the well-being of residents.
Duties
Assist residents with daily living activities, meal preparation, and medication management.
Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Supervise and support junior staff members, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to senior care and IT systems used in the facility.
Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
Experience
Previous experience in a residential children's care home or senior care environment is essential.
Level 3 QCF health and social children and young people is essential.
Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a team setting.
Familiarity with developing and executing care plans tailored to individual needs is crucial.
Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with residents and colleagues alike.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when needed.
Proficiency in IT systems relevant to the role will be beneficial for maintaining records and documentation.
