Job Description
We are looking for a kind, caring and well organised Senior Support Worker to join our amazing team of carers within our Extra Care Unit in Tenterden, Kent.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will be supporting our residents to live more independently within their own homes. You will be assisting them with daily living tasks, including personal care, helping with domestic duties, cooking or taking them out into the local community to help them stay independent and doing the things they love.
Main responsibilities:
Willing to support with personal care/meal preparation/shopping/light household duties/assisting with medication.
To mentor new/existing care staff.
To deliver high quality care to all residents.
To assist new residents to adapt to Extra Care living and manage theirs and their family's expectations.
To proactively re-able residents and promote independence.
To support Team Leader and/or Branch/Registered Manager as required.
To assist with Care planning documentation ensuring notes and tasks are completed accurately and in line with Company Policy.
To deal with and arrange residents' visits with professionals such as GP's, OT's, DN's and other multi-disciplinary teams.
To be the 'go to' person on duty for other carers.

Familiar with domiciliary or Extra Care environments.
Previous care experience is essential for this role.
You will need to have a minimum NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care for this role.
The position is full time Monday - Friday 7am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and alternate weekends
