We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to children and young people aged 8-16 in a residential setting. You will lead and supervise a team of support workers, ensuring consistent, safe, and nurturing care. You will assist the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in achieving the home's objectives and regulatory standards. You will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a supportive environment. Your leadership and communication skills will be vital in supervising and guiding other staff members while maintaining a high standard of care.

Duties
Lead daily shifts and ensure proper planning and resource allocation.
Act as a role model for children and staff, promoting positive behavior and emotional resilience.
Support children's development in education, health, independence, and social skills.
Implement individual care plans, safeguarding protocols, and therapeutic strategies.
Manage incidents and challenging behavior with professionalism and empathy.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to care reviews and planning meetings.
Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and the home's Statement of Purpose.
Qualifications
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (or working toward it).
Minimum 2 years experience in children's residential care.
Previous experience in a children's home is highly desirable.
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team is preferred.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with children.
Strong understanding of child protection, trauma-informed care, and safeguarding.
Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans is beneficial.
