Across the Board is looking to recruit a Senior Support Worker. We work with SEND children and neurodiverse adults The successful candidate will have a proven track record in this role. I am looking for a person that will be able to:
manage our busy rota for members of staff
carry out staff supervisions
review care plans and other documents
work directly with our SEND children and neurodiverse adults
manage workflow and reporting via our Nourish and Connecteam Apps
Plan, arrange, and organise service, repairs and MOT for our company vehicle.
Attend training and complete CPD
The successful candidate must be able to physically and fully commit to our young people's activities. These may include, but not exclusively:
long walks across fields, woods, and forests,
petting animals and rodents,
climbing in soft play areas,
swimming,
crawling through play tunnels,
trampolining,
playparks,
visiting theme parks
playing on the beach
The successful candidate must be able to support our young people to complete:
art and craft
sculpture and cutting
baking
shopping
The successful candidate must be able to drive and/or travel as a passenger for journeys up to 100 miles per session in any seat in the car. Currently all our service users are accompanied by two support workers in the community.
The candidate would also need to take our young people to medical appointments but not be present during investigations or treatments. There is an expectation to provide personal care where needed during the sessions.
The candidate must have a clean manual driving licence and be prepared to be on-call to cover shifts and/or arrange agency staff. (This is on a rota basis with other staff).
This is a full-time position of 38 hours per week with a requirement to work some weekends and during the school holidays.

The successful candidate would need to be able to get to our office in rural Breckland, Norfolk, a village called Eccles just off the A11. There is no public transport. Our vehicle is parked in Norwich, at NR7.
Duties
Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members
Supervise and support residents in participating in social activities and community outings, including driving when necessary
Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and ensure compliance with organisational policies
Foster a safe and supportive environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures
Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff or volunteers, promoting best practices in resident care
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support
Qualifications
Previous experience working as a Senior Support Worker/ Team Leader within a care home is essential, particularly supervising or leadership experience
Valid driving licence with the ability to drive residents when required
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with residents, families, and colleagues
Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans
Knowledge of care plans, safeguarding procedures, and health & safety regulations relevant to elderly or vulnerable adults
Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for our young people.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
