This really is an exciting opportunity to join the Sarinitiy Pure team as a Senior Residential Care Worker in Harrow. Become a part of our dedicated staff team offering therapeutic and nurturing support to empower young people to maximise their opportunities and aspirations.

Sarinitiy Pure offer comprehensive residential care to young people aged between 7-18 years, who have emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Working Pattern:



Full-time roles available. Requiring a 2 on 4 off rota and sleep-ins however some flexibility is required due to the nature of the role which is a 365 day service due to the nature of the work.

Join us in assisting vulnerable young individuals with emotional and behavioural difficulties, who require support with daily activities such as education, life skills and enjoying a range of activities and hobbies.

We offer our care workers support through our comprehensive induction program when you first join us. After finishing your training you will become familiar with your role by meeting your team and completing shadow shifts, which will help you ease into your duties. Managers will be on hand to offer assistance and guidance whenever required.

Essential Requirements:



Passionate about helping children,

Able to complete a rota pattern with Sleep ins.

Facilitate and coordinate the day by planning and preparing the handover, ensuring handover information is correct and available and recorded accurately and that any tasks that need to be carried over to the next day do so.

Take responsibility for the communication flow across the day with all team members, ensuring information is recorded clearly and that any tasks not completed are handed over and a reason why is given. Checking that all tasks are completed and allocating tasks/duties to team members, Ensure Care Plans and Risk Assessments are followed. Ensuring that all adults have read and are aware of each young person's Individual Placement Plans, Risk Assessments and programmes. Risk Assessments for outings are completed. Any incident/accident forms are filled in correctly before staff leave the building and made accessible for management attention/signing off. Holding a de-briefing session before adults leave the home. Plan activities with the adults at handover and ensure that these take place throughout the day. Facilitate time for key carers to complete key tasks, such as preparing Care Plans and Risk Assessments. Ensure home making and administrative tasks are followed. Ensure that all the relevant paperwork and recording in log books is up to date and that adults on duty are clear about the task for which they are responsible. Raise any concerns with Manager on duty/on call. This includes any child protection issues, whistle blowing, and minor/major incidents, calling the police/emergency services, social worker or on-call team. Sickness absence or punctuality. Ensuring that young person's bedrooms have been personalised and that activities/toys are out ready for the young person.

Experience:



residential childcare: 2 year (preferred) Experience of working with young people, with complex needs within a residential setting desirable. Effective characteristics and personality to handle challenging situations. Ability to place young people at the centre of all practice and decision making.

Licence/Certification:



Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England)
