What you will do:

• Expanding and refining of our significant Azure deployment, remote access solutions, and related networking infrastructure

• Maintaining associated IT systems and services in production and pre-production environments

• Acting as a senior technical point of contact, offering technical advice and solutions in a communicative and collaborative way

• Providing 3rd line support, including out-of-hours support in critical incidents and participate in the on-call rota

• Taking ownership of escalated incidents, ensuring root causes are found and resolved

• Introducing automation where feasible into the various IT systems to improve manual processes and ensure efficiency

• Creating user documentation and knowledge base articles to guarantee that all systems can be understood and maintained

• Liaising with 3rd party suppliers to maintain effective relationships and ensuring that SLA\'s are adhered to

• Resolving incidents, ensuring root causes are found, post-incident reports written and followed up

What you will need:

• Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders

• A strong background in IT Operations, with a solid understanding of industry standards and best practice techniques

• A track record delivering a range of small-medium, end-to-end operational projects within a fast-paced Agile IT environment, with a focus on the deployment of applications and IT systems across multiple locations

• Knowledge of IT infrastructure architecture principles (e.g. server, networks, databases, storage, end user devices)

• Experience of Cloud services and how they relate to a hybrid environment

• A good grounding in data security principles and methodologies for a security first FCA regulated technical environment

• A familiarity with help desk, applications support standards, and relevant frameworks such as ITIL
