Support worker/Care worker; are interchangeable in this advertisement. We prefer to use the term Senior Support Leader and Support worker as we feel these terms better reflect the roles and responsibilities. However, we recognise that within the Care Sector, Care worker is often the used and recognised term.

Care as a term is often used from a medical perspective and tends to mean that care workers care for and do for the patient. We prefer to have support workers who support and enable the residents within their home to be able to do as much for themselves as they are able to do. To promote independence and to help them live life.

We prefer the term Senior Support Leader and Senior Team leader as this reflects the leadership incorporated into the role. To lead is a proactive action.

Your role as Senior Team leader is to support the Management team in leading our Senior Support Leader team. Who in turn lead and support our Support worker team. Who in turn support our residents to enable them to live life.
