Senior Tester

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced unit, integration, system, and acceptance tester to ensure software quality by testing individual components and the interactions between them, using both manual and automation techniques. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience designing, executing, and maintaining test plans, identifying and logging defects, and collaborating with developers to improve software quality.



You will need to be comfortable in a technical environment, but also able to translate technical jargon into end-user-friendly language. As we embark on our ITIL journey, there's still some juggling involved, and you'll help the support team evolve to support a global operation and professionalise our ITSM.

THIS ROLE WILL BE BASED ON SITE.



Key Areas of the Role




Ensure the software is stable, reliable, and user-friendly before it reaches the end-user. Design and execute tests--both manual and automated--to identify issues early. Document and report defects thoroughly for development team resolution. Work collaboratively with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to meet requirements. Maintain clear documentation including test plans, test cases, and defect reports. Evaluate performance and usability to ensure efficient, high-quality user experiences. Create and maintain unit and integration test plans to verify functionality of modules and their interactions. Update test cases to reflect software changes. Automate repetitive tasks to increase efficiency and coverage. Participate in code reviews to ensure quality standards are upheld. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines to enhance automated testing and development workflows.



Skills




Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (unit, integration, system). Experience with testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG. Basic knowledge of coding principles to support test case design and execution. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Excellent problem-solving and defect-resolution skills. Attention to detail in identifying and documenting software defects. Experience leading by example and supporting other testers in an agile environment.



Working Pattern



Minimum four days on site, one day remote, with flexible hours between 7am and 7pm.

Salary and Benefits:
