The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior or Assistant Manager to join our growing Personal Tax team in Manchester. In this client-facing role, you'll lead the delivery of personal tax compliance and advisory services for a varied portfolio of clients, helping them navigate complex tax matters while mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to our exceptional service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing the delivery of day-to-day personal tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse portfolio of individuals, including high-net-worth clients, business owners, and directors.
Reviewing personal tax returns to ensure technical accuracy and timely submission in line with HMRC deadlines.
Providing clear, practical tax advice on issues such as residence and domicile, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and remuneration planning.
Supporting and mentoring junior team members to develop their technical knowledge and ensure high-quality client deliverables.
Liaising with HMRC on client matters, managing enquiries and correspondence effectively.
Identifying opportunities for tax planning and working closely with senior colleagues to deliver solutions.
Accurately recording chargeable time and ensuring optimal recovery of billable hours.
Planning and managing your workload to meet client expectations and internal review schedules.
Key Requirements:
ACA/ACCA/ATT/CTA qualified (or working towards CTA).
Strong technical knowledge of personal tax legislation and compliance processes.
Proven experience in managing client relationships and providing advisory services.
A collaborative approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to prioritise multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and tax software.
High standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and attention to detail.
