Seo Executive

Nottingham, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Role Profile

We're looking for a curious, data-driven SEO Executive to strengthen our brand's visibility across search and emerging AI platforms.

You'll take ownership of our SEO strategy -- from technical performance and keyword research to content optimisation and analytics -- ensuring our digital presence stays discoverable, credible and competitive.

You'll work closely with content, design and digital colleagues to grow organic traffic, improve user experience and adapt to new search behaviours driven by AI, voice and answer engines.

This role suits someone who loves experimenting, learning and applying insight to make measurable impact.

Core Responsibilities

Lead and deliver the full SEO strategy, balancing technical, on-page and off-page optimisation.

Conduct site audits, keyword research, content gap analysis and backlink reviews using tools such as Google Search Console, GA4 and SEMrush.

Optimise website architecture, metadata, structured data and internal linking for crawlability and ranking performance.

Collaborate with writers and designers to create content that meets user intent and search demand.

Optimise content for AI-driven search, answer engines, voice search and Search Generative Experience (SGE).

Apply structured data and schema markup to enhance visibility in AI and rich results.

Track and report performance using Looker Studio or equivalent dashboards -- focusing on traffic growth, engagement, and conversions.

Stay ahead of Google algorithm updates, competitor activity and emerging SEO technologies.

Share insights, test ideas and champion continuous improvement across all digital channels.

Requirements

2-3 years' hands-on experience in SEO, ideally in e-commerce, digital health or similar digital-first environments.

Strong understanding of keyword intent, search behaviour and content funnel strategy.

Confident using Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar tools.

Working knowledge of technical SEO (site speed, mobile optimisation, indexing, schema, canonicalisation, etc.).

Ability to turn data and insight into clear, actionable recommendations.

Strong collaboration skills -- able to brief content, design and development teams effectively.

Enthusiasm for innovation, testing, and continuous learning in SEO and digital technology.

Excellent written communication and attention to detail.

A degree in Marketing, Digital Media, or related discipline is preferred but not essential.

Desirable Skills

Awareness of generative AI's impact on search (e.g. ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity) and ability to adapt content for AI visibility.

Familiarity with CRO tools (e.g. Hotjar, VWO) or UX testing for improving user engagement.

Experience with structured data, schema markup, and automation using APIs or data feeds.

Knowledge of content optimisation tools (e.g. SurferSEO, Clearscope, Frase).

Understanding of local SEO and Google Business optimisation.

Exposure to paid search or social ads (Google Ads, Meta, TikTok) is an advantage but not essential.

Experience in regulated or healthcare sectors with awareness of ASA, MHRA and GDPR compliance.

Your opportunity to shape the future of brand

Search is evolving fast -- from traditional rankings to AI-driven discovery.

This role gives you the opportunity to be at the forefront of that change, shaping how our brand is found and trusted online.

If you thrive on testing, learning and applying the latest in search technology, this is your next step.
