Job Description

fatBuzz is a Glasgow-based agency providing marketing, SEO, graphic design and web design services for clients across the UK. We work with clients of all sizes from most industry sectors; from independent local businesses to global household names.

The SEO Specialist will join our SEO team responsible for implementing SEO strategies for clients. You should be able to understand, manage quickly, and support initiatives that will contribute to the goals and success of client campaigns.

Key Functional Areas of Responsibility regarding SEO



Perform SEO Audit's using SEMRush and provide recommendations and commentary on client websites. Review and implement on-page, and off-page SEO fixes as needed alongside the web development team, such as managing redirects, sitemaps, as well as internal link campaigns, copy and product listings. Carry out Keyword Analysis, Content Analysis, Competitor Analysis and Backlink Analysis as part of a complete SEO Audit. Work alongside our content development team to create keyword strategies for SEO optimised content. Complete monthly performance reports and occasionally present the findings.

PPC: Advantageous but not essential



Maintain and monitor clients Google Ad accounts daily and monthly budget caps, impression share, quality score and other important account metrics. Provide recommendations and execute optimisation strategies for paid keyword opportunities, campaign structuring, targeting, display network, and other facets of paid search in accordance with client goals. Manage, review, and perform daily account responsibilities associated with Google Ads for various clients.

Other Key Functional Areas of Responsibility



Monitor and administer web analytics dashboards predominantly through Google Analytics and Google Search Console, and communicate key areas of importance in accordance with client goals. Produce and oversee creative briefs which are delivered by other internal teams / external suppliers to meet client goals Communicate to team and management on project development, timelines, and results. Participate in client meetings to support account managers Keep pace with search engine and PPC industry trends and developments.

Ability to learn new industries and business types quickly and apply this knowledge to internet marketing initiatives and achieve client goals. High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation. Excellent analytical, organisational, project management and time management skills.

Professional Skills & Qualifications



Minimum 2 years of experience in search engine optimisation (SEO). Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience with website analysis using a variety of analytics tools, including Google Analytics, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and internal reporting tools. WordPress, Screaming Frog, and Tag Manager experience, alongside AdWords certification, is a plus.
