As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will report directly to our Website & Sales Manager to drive the growth and success of our luxury cigar business. We are seeking an individual who is a skilled SEO & Web Content Specialist to optimise our website's visibility, performance and user experience.? This role combines technical SEO expertise with HTML Content Management and is ideal for someone who understands how search engines work and knows how to make on page improvements that drive results. You would also be required to help with IT support as and when required.

Duties

Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for ranking improvement. Optimise on-page SEO elements including meta titles, meta descriptions, H1's, internal linking and image alt tags. Monitor and improve technical SEO aspects such as site speed, crawl errors, mobile usability and indexing. Create regular content whilst ensuring SEO best practices are implemented in all copy. Manage, edit and update website pages using HTML/CSS or through CMS. Fix broken links, optimise page layouts and maintain high web standards. Use tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console or similar to track performance. Provide regular SEO reports, including keyword rankings, traffic insights and technical audit results. Make data-driven recommendations to improve visibility and user engagement. Respond to support emails from staff, diagnose and resolve technical issues, i.e. computer crashes, log in problems, password resets, email set up, etc. Our technical team is available to assist with advice or concerns.

Skill Requirements

Proven experience in SEO (technical and on-page with demonstrable results. Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS and basic website editing Experience using SEO tools like Google Search Console Understanding of website architecture, structured data and mobile optimisation Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail. Basic knowledge of JavaScript is a plus

Education

Preferred 4 GCSEs at Grade 6 (or equivalent)

What does success look like? The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate and evidence their performance and development during regular PDRs:

Pay: 30,000.00 per year
