We are Seoul Nibbles, a proper Korean Street food stall that operates in Edinburgh's Grassmarket over the winter and has only 5 star reviews so far. We want to maintain this and need super friendly and eager staff members to help out. This role involves cooking some basic Korean Street food (training provided), taking orders, receiving payment and serving customers. Usually we open to customers from 11am-5pm and we have peak lunch hour rush which can be pretty full on, but then an afternoon lull before getting busy towards the end so sometimes we stay open until 6pm. Usually we operate Thursday-Monday.
Responsibilities
- cooking tteokpogi (spicy Korean rice cakes)
- Serve customers with a friendly and positive attitude
- An Interest in Korean food/cuture would be a big bonus, but not essential
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage time efficiently to meet customer demands
Skills

Being a friendly front of shop face is the main priority
-Being able to work outside (under a retractable roof cover) over the winter months is essential.
- Experience in a kitchen environment is desirable
- Proficiency in basic maths for handling transactions
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers effectively is very important
- Knowledge of culinary techniques is a plus
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and procedures
- Understanding of food safety practices and regulations
