Queenies was established in 2014, as an independent, urban, brunch-style eatery; focusing on fresh food and priding ourselves on great service. We currently have restaurants in both Billericay and Chelmsford, with a third location pending.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest services, ensuring that each dining experience is memorable. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages. Your ability to manage time effectively and engage with guests will contribute significantly to our restaurant's success.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service at all times. Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all requests are noted. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables and utensils, to ensure a pleasant environment for guests. Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, striving for resolution to enhance satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of meals served. Manage cash handling procedures accurately during transactions.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within the restaurant industry is preferred but not essential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain hygiene standards. Excellent guest service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn about menu items and preparation methods. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
