Duties

Greet and welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner. Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring all requests are noted. Serve food and beverages promptly, adhering to food safety standards. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and maximise sales. Maintain knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods. Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Manage time effectively to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders. Keep the dining area clean and organised, including resetting tables for new guests.

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable. Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Experience in guest services with a focus on creating memorable experiences. Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance customer satisfaction. Previous kitchen or culinary experience is an advantage but not essential. Strong communication skills with the ability to work well in a team environment.
