Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a memorable dining experience. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and assisting guests with any inquiries or requests. Your ability to manage time effectively and upsell menu items will contribute to the overall success of our establishment.

Duties

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take accurate food and drink orders using the appropriate order-taking system. Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met. Provide information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests in making informed choices. Upsell additional items such as desserts or drinks to enhance the dining experience. Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to during food preparation and service. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including setting up tables before service and clearing them after. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any special requests from guests. Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism, striving for resolution to ensure guest satisfaction.

Experience

Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Strong guest services skills with a focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately. Excellent time management abilities to efficiently serve multiple tables during busy periods. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices is advantageous but not mandatory. A passion for hospitality and a willingness to help others is essential for success in this role.
