Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our Sales team.
General Purpose
The Customer Service Representative will play a key role in supporting sales operations and delivering exceptional customer service. The role involves processing orders, preparing invoices, managing transport arrangements, and maintaining accurate records while ensuring timely and professional communication with customers and suppliers.
The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across the business to help achieve departmental objectives and maintain Strickland's high standards of service, efficiency, and professionalism.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Sales and Order Administration
Process a high volume of customer product orders accurately and efficiently.
Prepare and process invoices for all sales transactions.
Manage dispatch and transport arrangements via online portals and third-party providers.
Check and update product prices, contracts, and customer records to ensure accuracy.
Maintain accurate order, dispatch, and invoice records for reporting and audit purposes.
Support the Sales team with day-to-day administrative operations to help meet departmental targets.
Customer and Supplier Communication
Handle incoming and outgoing calls with customers and suppliers in a professional and courteous manner.
Respond promptly to a high volume of customer emails and enquiries.
Communicate internally to relay important feedback from customers to relevant departments.
Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, providing efficient and proactive service support.
Team and Departmental Support
Provide general administrative support to the wider Sales and Customer Service team.
Liaise with internal teams such as Production, Dispatch, and Accounts to ensure smooth order processing.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and departmental efficiency.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and health and safety standards at all times.
