The Service Coordinator (SC) are responsible for effectively and efficiently managing all inbound job requests and distributing work to the engineers for completion within the appropriate time parameters. This role will also be required to manage the day-to-day locations of engineers within their areas to ensure all jobs are attended and completed.
Due to the reactive, and at times urgent nature of the business, SCs are required to maintain an air of calm to ensure professional conduct at all times. This applies not only to our demanding customers who expect consistent and industry leading service, but to our engineers who are the face of our business. Both the SCs and Engineers are implemental in achieving our operational, commercial and service standards
Not only will the SC be expected to work under pressure during busy times, they will also be contributing to improve the systems and practices employed by the Service desk to ensure standards are maintained during these peak times
The SCs will be required to represent the business in the best possible light at all times and embrace every opportunity to provide outstanding customer service. Dealing with the general public, local business and large contract clients, the SC will ensure their matter is dealt with in a way that promotes the business, the engineers and Dyno / British Gas
Going the extra mile, exceeding customer expectations and providing noticeably high standards of customer service are the basic elements of the SC role
Duties and Responsibilities
The duties of this role will involve, but is not limited to:
Schedule and dispatch Engineers, work crews, equipment or service vehicles to appropriate locations in accordance with the customer requests, specifications or needs;
Arrange for necessary repairs in order to restore service and schedules;
Relay work orders, messages and information to or from Engineers, work crews and field inspectors by phone and through the Field App systems;
Confer with customers or your line manager in order to address questions, problems and requests for service or equipment;
Prepare daily work and run schedules;
To be the first point of contact for customers and answer office phones to receive and prepare work orders;
Oversee all communications within specific assigned territories;
Monitor personnel and/ or equipment locations and utilisation in order to coordinate service and schedules;
Record and maintain files and records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory and other dispatch information through the CRM database;
Determine types or amounts of equipment vehicles, materials or personnel required according to work orders or specifications;
Developing systems of work to ensure consistency and high standards, and identifying areas for personal and team improvement;
Monitor and highlight vehicle and engineer performance to your line manager
Monitor and advise stakeholders about traffic problems such as construction areas, accidents congestion, weather conditions and other hazards; and
To undertake any other tasks and projects as agreed that are within jobholders experience, skills and capabilities.
Experience
Knowledge and Experience of operations and service and/ or similar industry
A minimum of 1 years' experience in a customer service position.
Experience of using word processing, databases and other IT systems.
Proven experience where excellent oral and written communication had been required.

SCs will be required to often work under pressure and utilise critical thinking to address problems;
The job location is Unit 11, Watermill Business Centre, Edison Road Enfield EN3 7XF;
The post holder may be required to work additional hours when required.
*Pay and salary
The hourly rate for this role is 10.00 to 12.50 depending on experience.
All pay will comply with the National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage rates applicable to the employee's age and employment status.
