Service Desk Assistant

Job Description

An experienced Service Desk Assistant is required to join the General Office team in Estates. The post holder will assist and respond to the core Service Desk activities, assisting with the operation of Estates computer management systems and responding to large numbers of enquiries both by telephone and email.



You should be qualified to SVQ level III/HNC or equivalent and have at least three years' experience in complex busy office environment. You should have excellent IT skills and be able to cope well when under pressure. Good communication skills and patience are essential as is a flexible attitude and the ability to work in a well organised and methodical manner with a minimum of supervision.

Excellent communication skills, patience and a pleasant and helpful telephone manner are essential as you will be responding to large numbers of general enquiries from staff, students, suppliers and members of the public.



You should have the ability to prioritise work using your own initiative, have a flexible attitude and the ability to work in a well organised and methodical manner with a minimum of supervision is also essential.



You should also be a committed team player with a willingness to develop your range of skills.
