Job Description


For CAMHS, the operational directorate will provide core services within the 0-18 age range including:
Community Mental Health Services
Liaison Mental Health Services based at Croydon University Hospital, University Hospital Lewisham, King's College Hospital and Evelina
Early intervention services including those delivered within schools and through families
Complex Care Services
Inpatient services
Home Treatment Team and Response services
Crisis Line
National & Specialist Outpatient Services which operates the widest range of outpatient services for children and young people in the UK and internationally covering very specialist or complex needs
The operational directorate has over 1000 staff, and budget of ~xc2xa370m, with community services working within each of the four SLaM boroughs - Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark - and the National & Specialist portfolio reaching across the country and internationally.

Main duties of the job
To lead, with the medical and nursing lead and wider leadership team, the effective working of governance structures, roles and responsibilities
Ensure effective relationships with the Integrated Care Boards (particularly SWLand SEL), Integrated Care Systems, "Place" commissioning and services for Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark, the South London Partnership, NHS England, local authorities, schools (including the hospital school) and external stakeholders
Ensure mechanisms in place to involve key stakeholders inservice planning and delivery, to develop culturally sensitive services acceptable to an ethnically diverse inner city population and to ensure fair access to services irrespective of gender, sexuality, religion, culture, race or disability.
To host Trust-wide and National Specialist services .All hosted services will be managed by the Director with the same responsibilities as all other Operational Directorate teams, ensuring the portfolio hosted is reviewed and in line with organizational development processes.
Through KMP promote the development and adoption of innovation into existing and new service approaches focusing on existing workstreams for digital, schools and equalities. To develop the strategic vision for young children (
5 yrs) and parental mental health in line with KMP
